Ceremonies at Calamus Estate Winery take place on a grassy area directly in front of the vineyards, creating a timeless backdrop for an outdoor wedding ceremony. The open landscape allows the natural surroundings to shine, making the space feel romantic and unforced.
Following the ceremony, guests can remain in the same area for cocktail hour, encouraging an easy, unhurried flow to the day. With vineyard views in every direction, the space invites guests to linger, mingle, and take in the setting. Later in the evening, a small campfire area off to the side becomes a cozy gathering spot — perfect for quieter conversations and relaxed moments as the celebration continues
The Barn Reception Space
The barn reception space at Calamus is warm and inviting, designed to host celebrations that feel connected and communal. Wooden harvest tables and wooden chairs set a natural foundation, reinforcing the relaxed elegance that defines many rustic weddings. Large windows keep the space bright during the day and softly glowing as the light changes, maintaining a strong visual connection to the vineyards outside.
One of our favourite design features in this space is an open draping installation placed in front of the wine barrels, often behind the head table. This approach creates a focal point without closing off the room, adding softness and visual interest while allowing the barn’s character and textures to remain front and centre.
